Judith began her art career as a printmaker after completing her BFA at York University in Toronto, Ontario.
Her first major show was titled “Four Young Printmakers” at the Merton Gallery in Toronto.
Throughout her art making she has continued with printmaking including linoblock printing, nature printing and Gyotaku a form of Japanese fish printing. She has had numerous group and individual art shows in both Canada and the United States.
Judith has live and worked in France, travelled and painted in other European cities and now lives in Kingston, Ontario
Judith also works in acrylics and watercolours. She is most interested in the forms in nature including clouds, water, ice and underwater. She is currently working on a one woman show for “THE GALLERY” at Kingston General Hospital - November 27th, 2024 to January 27th, 2025. Her show is titled “SKY, LAND & WATER” and includes watercolours, nature prints and Gyotaku. The work is for sale and 30% of the sales will be donated to the hospital.
She also has a passion for art facilitation i.e. helping other artists and learners to explore their artistic capabilities. Her most exciting project is facilitating weekly Art & Self-Expression workshop for inpatients in the Mental Health Unit at Providence Care Hospital, Kingston.
